Anyone try Old Tub? I got a recommendation from a buddy. I usually try to limit bourbon to the weekends but since I picked up a bottle this evening, I gotta try it right?
MelRock has tried it and said he liked it. I asked him since it's called Old Tub is it made with Old Bath Water.
Well, at least I thought it was funny.
Just drank peanut butter whiskey.. tastes like butter scotch. After 4 glasses had to back off. Goes down too smooth

Screwball? I had it a few months ago and it was better than expected.
That Skrewball fooled me also. I like it for a change of pace. Goes down easy, but one or two at a time is enough for me. Then back to a normal whiskey or bourbon.
I went yesterday with a buddy and I was unaware of Angels Envy until he pointed it out and he also couldnt believe it was under $40. I trusted his opinion and scooped up a bottle. It was damn good.

Finally made it out to Total Wine today. I echo everyone's comments about the selection of everything but the beer. Beer was same as you can get many places in town. Guess that is not surprising if they are getting it from the same distributors.
Picked up a bottle of Straight Edge Bourbon. Going to break it open tonight after I drink a couple beers purchased at Parish. I will report back on the bourbon for sure.
Edit to report on taste: Not a traditional oak burnt barrel taste. It is fairly smooth on the pallet with a bit of a bite after you swallow. Caramel and maple sweetness with bourbon bite.

Can you compare it to popular brands commonly known for a good measuring stick?

I have been thinking about that and I'm having a hard time trying to compare it to others. The sweetness is different than most bourbons that I like. Losest that I can think of right now is Makers Mark but sweeter on the front end. It has been a while since I have had Makers Mark so I would need to try some again to compare properly.

I've had this bottle and enjoyed it, but a little expensive if I remember right.

I paid $46. That is about what I spend for a good bourbon. I'm normally around the $35-$45 price range. Yes, they have plenty that I enjoy around the $20 range. Just saying that I go up in price for "special" bottles.
