If I'm reading all the info right, it looks like the ticket pricing for the 16 game schedule will be higher than the 32 game schedule from last year with the PSD staying the same. My thinking is that the pricing includes the psd, in part, because of what you point out. Otherwise, it doesn't make a whole lot of good sense. Overall, it does not appear that the pricing is commensurate with the number of games offered, based on previous pricing. I guess we shall find out soon enough. Negative. The PSD is not included in the ticket price.
Louisiana Baseball 2021 Half Season Packages As of January 27, 2021**
Bleacher $ 135.00 Grandstand $ 225.00 Supreme Rice $ 240.00 * Does not include PSD or transaction fees ** Schedule subject to change

Ahhh. Thanks for pointing that out. Had not noticed that footnote.

I'm not surprised as it was the same for basketball, but for basketball the lower level seats were moved to the second level but the pricing was still the same cost and required the same PSD fee as the lower level. I don't know if they are doing that with baseball or softball, as in moving you from the grandstand to bleachers but still charging you the grandstand pricing & PSD fee.

I paid about the same for my 2021 Softball half season tickets as I did for a full season last year. Supply & demand economics I guess. I just found out about the softball "season" ticket pricing this morning, and there was very little price reduction, as you point out. So, baseball may very well be the same as far as pricing goes. If I'm reading all the info correctly, last years grandstand seats were $179 per seat (without the $175 PSD per seat) for 32 games and this years grandstand will be $225 per seat (without the $175 PSD per seat) for 16 games.

The website has been updated. No more need for questioning.

Maybe my math is fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure $135 + $175 equals $310, not $400, right?

Hahaha. Yes, I think it's supposed to be $225 vs $135.

I haven't received a call yet from the RCAF regarding my Baseball tickets, but I did receive the email regarding the process and pricing. If someone on this site has some inside knowledge, I would like some clarification to make sure what I read in the email is correct.
I have four (4) Baseball tickets in the Grandstand. Last season, the total cost for my 4 seats (tickets + per seat donation + fees) was $1445.00 or $361.25 per season ticket or $11.30 for each ticket. That was the cost for all 32 home games on the schedule.
If I read the email correctly (and I am able to get Grandstand tickets this season) the total cost this season (tickets + per seat donation) for 4 seats will be $1600.00 or $400.00 per season ticket or $25.00 for each ticket. If you look fast, the total looks like only about a $40.00 per seat increase (which I would be OK with), BUT this new price is for only 16 games, as opposed to 32 games! Can anyone verify that I am reading the information sent correctly?
Looks like Baseball pricing will be similar to what they did for Softball. By doing this, I guess they figure they can recoup last years losses this year.
I understand that the athletic department is hurting for funds, and I am willing to do my part, but going from $1445.00 last season to up over what normalizes out to $3200.00 in just a single year? I know demand for Softball and Baseball tickets is high, but does anyone else think this is a bit extreme?

I also thought is was a pretty good jump with going from $179 for 32 games last year to $225 for 16 games this year. My second worry is with limited seating, if you're typically in the grandstand and by the time they call no grandstand seats are available and you have to move to the bleachers will you still have to pay grandstand pricing? That is what happened in basketball, so that's why I bring it up.

No inside info, but everything you outlined is what I am understanding.

So, who all has gotten a call? I haven't! My RCAF rank is in the 500's. I really hope what doesn't happen (for the team and atmosphere sake) is that some of those Corporate accounts that never use their tickets get to buy all of them. I get it! They have that right, and we need those kind of accounts for sports teams to succeed....
Has anyone heard anything about a resale market this year?

They show my rank at 233 and have not yet received a call.

Hopefully those of you who really want them will be able to get them.
ANd, I hope those who have them that aren't able to attend will find a way to sell them or give them to someone who really wants them on that particular day.

Can unused tickets be donated back to the athletic department for resale as individual game day tickets?
