Very true. Shutting the economy down with a virus that has a survival rate of 99% is definitely overreaching and dangerous.
By now everyone knows the possible consequences of the virus. But the fact remains that over 99% of the people that test positive for the virus survive, the vast majority without any significant symptoms or consequences. I feel that businesses should be allowed to reopen at 100% so that the economy can start to get back on track and public activities should be allowed to resume as normal. If we need to continue wearing masks that's OK, but how much of an affect that has had is questionable in my opinion. Let each individual decide for themselves where they want to go or not go. I think that forcing businesses to reduce capacity to 25% or 50% has had little or no effect in preventing the spread of the virus. As I said before, the cat is out of the bag and there is no putting it back in!
