I am sure we are all hoping Brayan's surgery is successful and makes a full recovery. Kid played his heart out while injured for over 2 months. He is a guy who makes contributions you can't see simply by helping the team get in the right half court sets.

Really sucks for him and the team, he seemed to be the guy that elevated everyone else’s play. Not here to bash the kid, but he has looked pretty bad all year and I really wonder if ever should have been playing this year. His knee was hurt before the season even started. Hoping for the best for him in making a full recovery. |

On another note, guess Marlin will just add this to his list of excuses if the results don’t go his way. You know, having to compete in one of the toughest mid major basketball conferences in the country. You know, unlike our football program that only has to win in a conference full of loser programs.

However he is a player that is more valuable than the casual observer will ever realize. That is simply because he was able to get the team in the right sets in the half court. They were 13 and 4 with a halftime lead in the game he got hurt in. They have not been the same since. ULM game in Monroe was one which went the Cajuns way because they were hot from outside. We will see if that continues in the remaining games. Bright side of an unfortunate situation is the injury will allow Ty Harper to garner more playing time which should accelerate his development. That should payoff next season. |

We don't run half court sets regardless of who is the point guard. We are AWFUL in the half court. We have to get out and push the ball to score enough to win. To be fair, I think your percentage should be 90% of Marlins teams. |
