First baseball game thread in the Rougarooms era.
Interested to see how much DAWG Mr. Durke has in him.

Green Wave were 11 and 1 last year before things shut down. All 3 of their weekend starters are back. Expect 2 to 1 type games this weekend.

As promised... A brief Scouting report. Cajuns*Louisiana has 21 newcomers and 19 returning players on its 2021 roster. There are only seven players on this year’s team that were on the 2019 roster. *The Cajuns added three four-year college transfers in CJ Willis (LSU), Brett Borgogno (Cal State Fullerton) and Drake Osborn (Texas A&M-CC). Osborn was a Third Team All-Southland Conference Catcher in 2018 and Buster Posey Watch List member in 2019 and Willis was selected in the 39th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays. *Out of a possible 68 starts. *Out of the 40 players on the current roster, the Cajuns only have seven student-athletes who have played two or more years at Louisiana. (Connor Cooke, Brennan Breaux, Alex Hannie, Jacob Schultz, Austin Bradford, Austin Perrin, Jack Burk) *Cajuns were 5-1 away from the Tigue in 2020. Tulane*Tulane finished the 2020 season with a 15-2 mark, which matched its best start to a season since 1972. *Tulane also posted an incredible 11-1 record at home. *Tulane is picked to finish the 2021 season third in the American Athletic Conference. *The Tulane baseball team returns all three players from its 2020 rotation for this season in the form of (Friday's starter and Golden Spikes Award Watch list) Braden Olthoff, Jack Aldrich and Donovan Benoit. The Green Wave trio combined for an 8-0 win-loss record, posted a 1.89 earned run average, logged 66.2 innings, struck out 83 and held opponents to a .181 batting average. *3B Trevor Minder earned the preseason all-conference nod following a 2020 campaign where he finished the year with .359 batting average, three home runs and 14 RBI. In addition, the Springfield, Illinois, native posted 23 hits, five doubles and scored a team-best 20 runs. Minder also led The American in runs scored. *The Green Wave finished the 2020 campaign ranked No. 20 in the D1Baseball.com Top 25 poll. Tulane Team TotalsPitching
