What is nonsense is you think that 'gender' is scientific! Gender is a social construct. Sex is scientifically defined but even then it is not binary. People are born with multiple combos of X and Y chromosomes. Maybe read a book before commenting on things you clearly do not understand. Dr. Seuss cancelled?!? Turn off the faux outrage machine. The company who owns the rights to those books decided to stop publishing them because of racist images. Free market and all that. Remember? What is funny is most GQPs probably had no idea those books even existed before their performative outrage and the rubes fell for it hook, line and sinker. That is all the GQP has is culture wars because they CANNOT govern. Ah, I love the "I believe in science, but it's ok to let my kids pick their gender" spiel. And you're referring to Swyer Syndrome. But do you really think it is ok for parents to allow their children to go through sex transitions? If that's the case, then you do you because "gender" and "sex" intertwine here whether you like it or not. As for Dr. Seuss, I don't watch 24 hour news nor do I really care. It just humors me how people have spare time on their hands to find these things that most people never even thought about. Even in Oregon, the way math is taught has to be changed. Proper grammar on term papers are starting to get banned. Again, if you agree, you do you. Your first sentence is paradoxical. The science says sex is a continuum. Why would one care if their kid identified as whatever gender they wanted? Is the kid happy, healthy and not an arsehole? Good, mission accomplished. Swyer is one but there are others. Its not as simple and binary as some want to believe for some reason. Glad we agree on the Seuss faux outrage by the GQP.

Kids also shirt their pants, eat their boogers, write on walls and dig in their butt in public but hey as long as they are happy right? Just let kids do whatever the fork they want as long as it makes them happy...that’s how we end up with entitled dipshits like yourself

So it's ok for parents to allow their kids to have reconstructive surgery because they want to be a certain gender? This is how far some will go. As for Dr. Seuss, you say the "GQP" is outraged on cancel culture. But who is the one cancelling these things? Who cancelled Pepe Le Pew? As much as you're pointing fingers, do you not see a problem with the left's attempt to censor pretty much anything they disagree with? But man, they loved that Grammy performance of WAP. How do you not see the hypocrisy here?

Like people who are against same sex marriage. Why do you care who someone loves? You sure seem to be stuck on WAP. I have never heard the song nor have I ever watched the Grammys so I do not give a singe F about it. Its liberating. Try it.

But I do care when a kid is forced to have reconstructive surgery. How you can't see the difference there is mindboggling. As for your view on WAP, I see you have "Selective Wokeness."

As for your view on WAP, I see you have "Selective Wokeness." It's crazy to me that gender is a political lightning rod now-a-days. I don't care what people want to identify as, and if someone I personally know politely asks me to refer to them as a different gender pronoun...sure, whatever. I feel like the majority of people actually feel this way. I understand that the human brain is immensely complex, and anecdotally know people born that have always seemed like their gender has been opposite of the sex they were born as. I sympathize with people that grow up with their brain wired a different way than their physical body is configured. I get why there is a movement to somewhat normalize transgender behavior, and gain acceptance. The friction obviously comes from how we define most of society in binary sex. Male and female restrooms, male and female sports, etc. Where do transgender people fit in? I don't know. I personally don't feel comfortable with my daughter sharing a public bathroom with a male identifying as a female. I don't think males identifying as females should be able to compete in women's sports. I don't even know what to think about kids (pre-18) electing to have reconstructive surgery, although I don't think the government should have any say in that. What are middle-of-the-road solutions to these societal issues? Ignore their plight? Add more unisex single bathrooms? Create small regional pockets of transgender leagues? Or tell them to focus solely on coed sports? This entire post of mine was just a thinking exercise I think more people staunchly on both sides should take part in. As always, it's way more complex than black and white.

As always, it's way more complex than black and white. These are valid points that you have brought up. If someone wants to transition, that's on him/her. You do you. At the same time, where is the line drawn? Does one have to "look the part"? Even though I am a guy and obviously look like one, can I suddenly identify as a woman and just walk into the women's bathroom looking the way I do right now? How would that go with women in there? I'm sure they would not be too happy about it. But then, can I call them out for discrimination for not respecting my wishes identifying as woman? There's a lot of cloudiness that no one really wants to answer. As for transgender females competing in women's sports, here is what we are now seeing. There's feminist groups out there who aren't too happy right now. Regardless of transitioning to a female, that person still has male traits and physicality's that are advantageous over biological female competitors. Just last year, a transgendered female won a state female wrestling title, and there was a lot of blowback because of what I just mentioned. But again, is that considered discrimination? I think people sympathize, but then there's not real set solutions as of right now. And that's unfortuante.
