Lot of controversy and backlash towards the new voter ID law in Georgia, including Major League Baseball trying to throw its weight around. I found this interesting, though. The Washington Post, a publication that by and large mostly supports candidates and politicians on the Left side of the political spectrum (It has endorsed the Democrat in a Presidential runoff nine times, but has never endorsed a Republican) had this to say about the Georgia Voter ID law in light of President Biden's..."misinformation?" about the law. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/03/30/biden-falsely-claims-new-georgia-law-ends-voting-hours-early/So help me understand this, if the bill is overall expanding opportunities to vote in Georgia, then what's the horrible voter-suppression issue here? Is it requiring a legal ID to vote? That would seem to be common sense. Prove you are who you say you are, that way you don't vote in someone's place. Is it no food being handed out in voter lines? Are people not able to bring their own pack of cheeze-its and a bottle of water with them?

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred is an elitist hypocrite in the 1st degree! 1) Is he going to give away his exclusive membership at Augusta Country Club located in Georgia? How about his tickets to the Masters? 2) Will MLB end their relationships with China and Cuba because their governments prohibit democratic elections? 3) Did I forget to mention the Millions $$$ of lost revenue minority businesses will suffer in Atlanta because of this decision? As for the propaganda spewed by the Biden Administration and the media, it's nothing new. It's much easier to write articles stating opinion rather than facts. Opinions are much harder to debate when no factual information is provided to the readers.

Hypocritical punks to the 99.9th percentile. If you claim to be a supporter of free elections and a free economy but you fancy yourself a diner of places like Salt Grass and Bubba Gump Shrimp, STOP DOING IT, PUNK.

TX Gov Gregg Abbott withdrawals from throwing out first pitch of Texas Rangers home game.
Also states the State of Tx will not be pursuing any MLB events (All Star games, etc).

Are people not able to bring their own pack of cheeze-its and a bottle of water with them? Definitely inclined to agree with most of what you are saying here. There are a lot of good things in this bill and a few questionable ones. The rest is just grandstanding by people who are trying to fit this bill into their narrative. Its not all evil, nor is it all good. Voter ID requirements...good. Expanded polling hours...good. State election board now managed by the legislature...I guess it kind of depends on if you trust the legislature or not. If a traditionally democratic state legislature did the same thing, the republicans would be up in arms. The whole thing about snacks really hangs me up. At first glance, my reaction was "snacks in a voting line...why does anyone care about that?" I mean, I'm not sure I've ever waited in a voting line long enough for me to have time to eat a snack. But that's not the experience of everyone. Historically, longer lines due to inadequate polling locations have occurred in minority communities. So I can understand why taken from a certain context, "no snacks" can mean "you have to wait in a long line AND we're going to prevent people from helping you". I think its just another iteration of solving the symptom but not the problem. Want to solve the problem? Collect and publish data on average wait times to vote. Make it transparent. Establish criteria for polling location enhancement ("if average wait time is more than xx minutes, then additional polling locations are added during the next election cycle"). The rest of that mess is just dueling snowflake outrage cancel culture. "Oh yeah? we're going to move the all star game!" "Oh yeah? I'm not going to come to your baseball game and/or throw out the first pitch!" "Boycott the MLB!" is almost exactly like "You should be cancelled!" "No, YOU should be cancelled!" "Nuh uh!" "Nanny nanny boo boo!"

They moving the braves next or what? Imagine being so woke you took the game away from a city that is over 50% black and gave it to a city that's 70% white. Punk.

They moving the braves next or what? If the Braves are looking to move anywhere, I'd suggest "past the division series" as a first target

As someone who grew up with the braves pretty much being the only team on national tv, I could never pull for any team from Atlanta. We had satellite so I was able to catch WGN. I was pretty much the only kid in the neighborhood who was a Saints, Cubs and Bulls fan.
